Workshops: to support Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants

Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) are stars in our schools.

You do so many things to support learning; setting up desks, wiping tears, building confidence, chatting and building relationships. This is all in addition to making learning happen.

We hear you

Through talking to TAs and LSAs in Wales we know that some of you are finding it tough. That’s why we have developed a number of free workshops specifically designed to support you and those who line manage you.

These will help you to feel well so that you can meet the challenges you face daily.

What will we cover?

Our series of bespoke workshops are focussed on supporting mental health and wellbeing within the following themes:

  • Taking care of you
  • Empower yourself
  • Connecting with your sense of purpose
  • Looking after your Teaching Assistants – for line managers of TAs and LSAs

More details of the individual workshops coming soon

Why attend?

These workshops will help build your self-efficacy and resilience and provide ways to support your wellbeing.

You’ll gain practical tips to apply what you learn, while also addressing some of the challenges you face culturally such as; lack of time in the day, feeling unheard and being unable to, or lacking the opportunity to, raise any concerns.

We want to support you to be well so you can flourish in your personal and work lives and continue to provide invaluable support for children in your school.

These workshops are funded thanks to support from Welsh Government.
