Difficult conversations are kind (when you know how to make them)

An interactive masterclass to support you to have difficult conversations with your colleagues successfully and kindly. This is exclusively for Welsh education staff.

Events 09 December 2024 / 3 mins read

This masterclass, run by expert trainer Sophie Bevan, will give you more confidence and practical tools to talk about the tough stuff well. Difficult conversations are a life skill, when done well they improve wellbeing, when done badly (or avoided) they ruin wellbeing. But most people haven’t been trained to have difficult conversations kindly and successfully.

Sophie will be sharing some of the keys to success:

  • Learn how to create a safe space for ourselves and others (something few think about).
  • How to manage emotions so they don’t become a barrier to the conversation.
  • Open and structure a conversation so that it stays on track.

Who is this session for?

This session is suitable for anybody working in education (i.e., teachers, TA, line managers, school leaders) in Wales.

This session will not be recorded, so don't miss your chance to attend. Masterclasses and TA workshops only run until March 2025.
