Wellbeing and workload: find and maintain a healthy balance

This research backed masterclass will help teachers and education staff to reignite their joy, manage their workload and look after their wellbeing.

This masterclass, run by education and wellbeing expert Jodi Fusaro, will equip you with strategies that you’ll be able to implement to reduce the overwhelm often felt within the teaching profession. You will explore research and theory linked to workload and receive guidance on how to create and sustain a healthy work/life balance. It will also provide you with fresh insight on how to successfully look after yourself and your wellbeing during busy term times whilst simultaneously being a successful teacher or member of education staff

During this masterclass you will:

· Connect with your passion and purpose connected to teaching to remind you why you got into the profession in the first place.

· Explore research and theory linked to workload such as working smarter not harder, the dose response theory, the window of tolerance, marginal gains and the concept of productivity. You will explore the theory and connected strategies that you can implement to better manage the teaching workload.

· Explore the signs of burnout and how to avoid them.

· Explore how best to look after your wellbeing during the busy term time and during our pinch points.

Who can attend the workshop?

This session is suitable for anybody working in education, but particularly those who are struggling with the overwhelm and workload of teaching including teachers who find it difficult to successfully look after their wellbeing whilst also feeling like a successful teacher.

About Jodi

This session will be led by Jodi who has 14 years of experience in education including leadership positions. Jodi also runs the Busy Teacher’s Club which specialises in supporting teachers with organisation (teacher planners and stationery) and wellbeing (resources, courses and retreats). Jodi has delivered many training sessions and workshops supporting teachers with their wellbeing and helping them develop and maintain a healthy work/life balance.
